Job Description

A well-established civil litigation firm is seeking a Senior Litigator to manage a diverse caseload involving employment-related disputes along with a variety of general civil litigation matters. This role requires a minimum of five years of litigation experience and strong knowledge of employment law. Experience working with public entities or public-sector employment matters is a plus but not required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Represent private and public-sector clients in employment and labor-related litigation.
  • Oversee all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, oral argument, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
  • Advise clients on issues involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage-and-hour matters under state and federal law.
  • Conduct or supervise workplace investigations and prepare written findings or recommendations.
  • Draft, analyze, and update employment policies, handbooks, and compliance materials.
  • Prepare and argue petitions for writs of mandate and handle administrative appeals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop litigation strategies and manage cases efficiently.
  • Perform related litigation duties as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic performance.
  • At least five years of litigation experience in California, with a focus on employment law.
  • Trial experience preferred.
  • Experience with writs of mandate and appellate work is highly desirable.
